The Nepean City Soccer Club has the legal responsibility for the protection of all information it collects for registration. This legal responsibility is described in the "Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act" as passed by the Government of Canada and fully enacted on January 1, 2004.
In compliance with the Act, personal information collected for registration will only be used by authorized Nepean City Soccer Club volunteers, the Eastern Ontario District Soccer Association, the Ottawa-Carleton Soccer League, the Eastern Regional Soccer League, the South Side Soccer League and the Ontario Soccer Association to fulfill the purpose of assigning players to appropriate soccer teams, facilitating communication between the Club and it's players and parents, accounting for Club equipment distributed, and monies received, obtaining fair and equitable field use, or for a use consistent with those purposes. The Nepean City Soccer Club does not disclose this information to public bodies or individuals except as authorized by law. The Nepean City Soccer Club keeps the information only for the length of time necessary to fulfill the purpose(s) for which it was collected. Currently the Ontario Soccer Association requires that all registration data, and all data resulting from a game (game sheets, discipline reports, etc.) must be retained for 7 years after the end of the season.
